Colin Wist Physiotherapist

Physiotherapist

Colin grew up in Saskatoon and attended the University of Saskatchewan where he trained and competed with the Wrestling team. He completed his undergrad degrees in Kinesiology and subsequently Education with an emphasis on Physical Education. He eventually went on to complete the University of Saskatchewan’s Master of Physiotherapy Program. Since graduating in 2011 he has worked in the field of Orthopaedics in a private practice setting. He continues to advance his skills through advanced course work in Orthopaedic and Manual therapy, and has taken courses on core stability and movement system impairments from Stuart McGill and Shirley Sahrmann. Recently he has completed course work on running injuries of the foot, and myofascial release. His past work experiences have given him a good understanding of work place demands. This has been an asset as a Physiotherapist as working with people who have work place injuries is common. His full resume would include time spent working in the construction industry, janitorial work, retail, food processing plants, and even corrections. In physiotherapy there are different approaches. Every patient is unique and finding the right combination of treatment approaches and techniques can make the difference. Colin will work with you to understand the problem and draw on manual therapy techniques and exercises to help with your recovery. button
